Cohorts
Small Groups
The number of children who experience their day together has a significant impact on their well-being and learning. We carefully craft each group to have five children in each cohort for all ages.
Spaces
Designed Environments
Our space is designed for students to move to different spaces throughout the day. Each space is designed with a purposeful environment that promotes developmentally appropriate learning.
Teachers
Intentional Learning
Cohorts have one teacher. They craft goals, implement curriculum and assessments, and share in the joy of watching students grow. They help parents to be an integral part of their student's day.
The Wing
Students in the Fireflies Nursery Wing (The Wing) might be working on sleep training, sign language, verbal instructions, boundary practice, independent play, socializing, table manners, independence, mobility, and an infinite number of other intentional lessons depending on the child's specific development. Teachers create goals and schedules, alongside parents, that are appropriate for that student. Students move out of this cohort once parents, the teacher, and the director feel it is appropriate and they are ready for more stimulation, academic experiences, and more complex socializing.
